PEOPLE ARE STUPID: Silica Gel: Revisited
This is one of those "People Unclear on the Concept" issues. First, silica gel is a dessicant, which means it absorbs moisture. This packet not only shows what silica gel looks like, but was taken from an anti-static bag that contained a hard drive. Second, and the reason I am showing this to you is that the silica gel is in a non-gas permeable plastic wrap. In simpler terms: there is no way this is going to absorb any moisture.
