Dear Kayleen:
Wow, thanks for your visit. You must like the site 5 times more than the average site visitor, either that or your finger got stuck while clicking that "send" button. However, Dr. Stupid is not one to assume much of anything, especially considering that Dr. Stupid's head is made from an empty panty-hose egg. Sometimes the echoing drowns out logic.

People come here looking for answers. Dr. Stupid believes there are no such thing as stupid questions. If they are brave enough to ask the question, then it seems logical that Dr. Stupid should provide an answer. Many people are too embarrassed to ask their questions for a wide variety of reasons. One could be simply public embarrassment, which is a rather quick method to crushing one's own self-esteem in many cases where individuals lack self confidence. Another reason could be that one may feel they can figure it out on their own. Sometimes this is true, sometimes this isn't. It does require that one have the ability to realize that at some point, they simply won't be able to figure this out on their own and they need help. This must be true, since self-help books seem to be frequently on the New York Times best seller's list. At the same time, if people have to buy a book to help them figure things out, that's not self help, that is what is known as "help". But they certainly helped themselves to the books, didn't they? Sorry, that doesn't count. There are probably dozens of other possible reasons, but typing with mitten-hands is difficult work.

Dr. Stupid is well aware that many visitors come to this site to mock Dr. Stupid. It is better that such individuals choose to take out these behavioral problems in an inanimate object such as Dr. Stupid rather than on another living creature. As such, Dr. Stupid does not mind being a target of such attacks, as it is truly the lesser of several other possible evils.

As always, Dr. Stupid feels that laughter is the best medicine. If this sight makes someone smile or somehow brightens someone's day in some way, then this site is serving its purpose. Dr. Stupid would like it if Dr. Stupid would receive questions on a more frequent basis. Being a philosopher is a very difficult job. Pondering all the things in the universe constantly is not as simple as most people would care to believe. Answering questions allows Dr. Stupid to focus and concentrate on an exact topic, rather than ponder on generalities with no current definitive answers.
